Frequently asked questions
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes. Every plan can be billed monthly or yearly — yearly saves two months.
Why are prices in my currency?
OpenRegis detects your country and shows the matching market price. Change the country in the top bar.
Can I change plan later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade any time from the customer portal. Plan changes are pro-rated — you only pay the difference for the remaining billing period.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), SEPA Direct Debit, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna. All processing through Stripe — your card details never reach our servers.
How do I cancel?
One click in the customer portal. You keep access until the end of the paid period; after that the plan auto-rolls to the free tier.
Which countries are covered?
Germany and the United Kingdom are live today. Estonia, the Netherlands, France, and more European countries follow on a weekly cadence after launch. Every paid plan includes all currently supported countries — no extra upgrade needed.
How quickly do insolvency alerts arrive?
Insolvency notices and §10 HGB filings are checked every 6 hours. From the moment a matching event is detected, the notification reaches your chosen channel within about 15 minutes.
Which notification channels are available?
Email is open to every plan. Telegram is available from Pro upwards. Signed-payload webhooks for Slack, Discord, or custom systems — Enterprise.
What counts as a 'document'?
Every official register extract we fetch for you from the Handelsregister, the Gazette, or equivalent sources: HR extract, chronological extract, historical extract, list of shareholders, articles of association, annual accounts. A successful fetch counts as one document.
What happens if a document isn't available?
If the registry doesn't deliver the document, you see a calm status notice — no charge. Successful fetches count, failed attempts do not.
Can I order documents one-off without a subscription?
Yes. Pay-per-document is always available — no contract, no minimum. Ideal for occasional research.
How many companies can I monitor?
Free tier: zero watchlisted companies. Pro covers up to 500 monitored companies, Enterprise unlimited. Add or remove companies at any time.
Is VAT shown?
Yes. EU B2B customers with a VAT ID see net prices (reverse charge); other EU customers pay regional VAT; non-EU customers see net prices. Compliant invoices arrive automatically by email.
How secure is my data?
GDPR-compliant, servers in Germany, all connections TLS 1.3, passwords hashed with Argon2, payment details tokenised via Stripe — they never reach our servers. Full audit log of every fetch.
Is there API access?
From Pro upwards you get OAuth2 API keys with rate-limiting. You can fully automate Smart Search, document fetching, and monitoring. Live-update webhooks are Enterprise.
Can I add sector add-ons?
Yes. Sectors like construction, logistics, or hospitality can be added as an add-on. You then receive market signals, risk benchmarks, and early warnings for the entire sector — not just individual companies.
Which languages does the dashboard support?
20 languages at launch — German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Portuguese, Turkish, Romanian, Hungarian, Greek, Bulgarian, Croatian, Slovenian.
How do I reach support?
Through the contact form on the support page. We reply in order of arrival by email, usually within a few business hours. A dedicated account manager and a formal SLA are available on Enterprise contracts on request.
What happens to my data on cancellation?
You can export all collected data as CSV or JSON. After a 30-day grace period your list entries and monitoring configuration are deleted; fetched documents stay downloadable from the free-tier archive.
